In the Five Element Theory, excess Metal in the form of preservatives, meat and bread affects the body’s ability to absorb and eliminate as well as to decide what is appropriate for itself.

Since Fire controls Metal, you can balance an excess of Metal in the body by increasing the intake of foods like tropical summer fruit, toasted bread, carrot tops, leafy greens – watercress, chicory, and corn.
